We encourage spec music. No music label requirements. Recording artist can be unsigned and without a recording or distribution deal. No works in progress. Music must be primarily in English or subtitled in English.

August 15, 2008 is the deadline for all submissions.

General Rules

The competition is open to any video completed after September 1, 2005, regardless of content, subject or origin.

Submitted materials will not be returned and there are no refunds. The competition is not responsible for material that is lost, stolen or damaged in transit. Submission Form, Entry Fee and DVD must be received at the office no later than August 15, 2008. The programming staff of Celebration of Shorts! will select and invite all music videos at their discretion and may also use their discretion to place your film in the appropriate category. Those selected will be notified via email and/or letter on or about mid-September, 2008 and listed on the website. Those not selected will be notified via email and/or letter shortly thereafter.

When sending in more than one project, each one must have its own submission form, DVD, and entry fee.

All entries are eligible for prize/cash awards and will be given at the Awards Night Party. All decisions by our judges are final. Any taxes as a result of prizes are the complete responsibility of the person(s) that submit the film.

Terms & Permission

As conditions of entry into this contest, submitting to this competition, each entrant warrants and represents that he/she owns all rights, including, without limitation, the video and digital recording, and the performance contained in each entry. Applicant grants Celebration of Shorts! the right to show their film publicly. Submission of an entry to this festival signifies that the entrant understands, accepts and agrees to these conditions.
